Brian Clark was the lead developer for Ryan Companies in the planning, development and construction of the city’s new Public Safety Facility. A critical part of Brian’s role was leading the last “Lease- Purchase” project in the State of Iowa. 

This Developer-Led $36.0 million project primarily consists of a 91,000-square-foot new headquarters for City Hall and Altoona Police.

Farnsworth Group (formerly Design Alliance) provided architectural design services for a new City Hall and Police Station facility containing all city hall offices, training rooms, break room, council chambers, and support areas. 

The facility is home to the Altoona Police Department range, and contains interrogation rooms, booking, sallyport, roll-call room, training, locker rooms, along with a 50-yard, 12-lane firing range and support spaces. 

The project was constructed with Ryan Companies US, Inc. as the developer/contractor. Christensen Development was selected as owner’s representative.

The project was substantially complete in November 2019.
